Okay, in working in a physically demanding environment, I would state what I do currently as a piece job to survive. I cut bush grass for local communities with a 43C bush cutter, which is a heavy-duty material because it has an engine that runs on a generator. So in a sense, the first thing's first when working in a physically demanding environment is to check the safety of the area because I would have to check where the windows are so that I make sure that I don't put windows behind me while I work. I must always be facing the windows as I work and also check if either there are kids around that I might hit or cars around or even pedestrians walking around. So number one is safety. And then number two is making sure that when I size up my job, I have to check where do I start and where will I finish because for me to size up my job, I will have to work in portions so that I can be able to manage time and I can be able to do my work effectively. So it's very demanding. It takes hours to complete, but with a plan before you start your work, you are able to complete in time or perhaps you finish up the following day. But in how I work, I plan first and then also as a...
As far as I can remember, there was a time where we were supposed to work closely with technicians in order to assist in wiring power lines, you know, that connect to the household meter boxes, as well as the transformers. So in that case, we were mostly briefed in the morning in terms of our scope of work, how we are required to perform our tasks during the day and how they are about to position us in different areas of work. And we were told a lot about safety, you know, in working in such conditions because we are working with live electricity. Even though we were not allowed as internal workers to touch any live electricity, but we made sure that our environment, we are not closer to those power lines while the technicians are busy wiring, but also assisting them in bringing the cables and also assisting them in carrying toolboxes and making sure that they do their job timelessly and they are within the scope of work and also being of assistance in any way possible. Perhaps maybe if there's a danger that the technician cannot see, we are able to alert them in time. So that was a very important area of my work because I got to learn a lot about safety, you know, first of all, wearing PPE, making sure that we are safe within the environment and making sure that the working conditions.
I was involved in a project, a community project, where we were contracted with ESCOM as a subcontractor to dig up holes and install power lines at a local community where I'm from in Gwamfla. So my role in the team, it was to lift the cables and also to dig up holes and also to help to assist the technicians in installing those power lines. So my role was mainly focused on being a general worker at the company and also making sure that we adhere to all safety protocols within the line of work. So it was a lovely opportunity because I got to work with heavy material, such as installing power lines and then also wiring of meter boxes. I learned a lot from that experience and it was a lovely job because, you know, I also learned a lot about working with others to achieve a goal within a team. That was my role as a general worker under a subcontractor that was contracted by ESCOM to install power lines at a local community. Thank you.

As I've mentioned previously, that I've worked for a subcontractor that had a contract with ESCOM to install power lines. So I've gained experience in working with your meter boxes, you know, with heavy current wiring cables to household and also working in support of cranes that were installing the poles for ESCOM. And also currently, I am, I could say I'm self-employed, you know, because I work with a bushcutter, a bushcutter that is used to cut grass, long grass in different households where I'm called. So also in that, I believe that's a heavy duty equipment that I work with because it would use a blade, so you'd make sure that you have your safety boots on, you have your gloves, you have your helmet, you have your glasses, you know, when you cut that grass within that household. And also, you make sure that you don't break anything in that household, including your glasses, I mean your window classes, and also injuring maybe kids in the premises or someone passing by the road. So safety for me is a very important thing because on a daily basis, whenever I'm called to a household to do that task of cutting grass, I make sure that the environment that I'm working with is very clean and also I watch out for stones or anything that can pop from that engine and hit anything that is close by, even if it's a car or
In my previous employments, I have been required to follow precautionary safety protocols, and I've adhered to them as required by my supervisors. You know, your PPE, making sure that you have your boots on, making sure that you have your work suit on, making sure that you have protective equipment like helmets and glasses. For example, I was working for a subcontractor that was subcontracted under ESCOM. It was involved in making sure that it's installed electrical meter boxes in households. So we were involved in digging and installing power lines and also wiring those power lines to households. So safety was very important in the job task because before you touch any equipment, you must make sure that all the PPE protocols are observed so that you can make sure that you deliver tasks to the best of your ability. So safety was the utmost importance before any job, you know, and also making sure that the environment that we work in is also clean and there are no hazardous equipment that can injure any of our employees or any community members passing by, because you would work in a community where you have kids, you have people that are passing by. So you have to make sure that safety is followed in all cases where it is required. So there's a lot of experience I gained when it comes to adhering to safety protocols in my previous job.
I was a lead teams player. My task was to oversee if the team is executing tasks as required, and I was involved in making sure that the team performs at its utmost best and it delivers according to the mandate that was given to the team, and that task was a success. So I was running a sales team for a company that was working with water, water supply, your filled water, and refilling bottles. So there was a time where there was a challenge where there was a shortage of water, so I had to organize the team to deliver as best as possible to the tasks that were given to us. And those skills, they made me see that I'm able to work around a team, and I'm able to focus on the task at hand, and I'm able to motivate other team members to perform at their best and to make sure that they deliver to the tasks as required. So I learned a lot from that job. Thank you. Thank you very much. In fact, I'm a task player, I'm a team's player, and I'm a good communicator. You know, in any task that I'm given, I perform to the best of my abilities in all tasks that I'm given. So it would be beneficial for the mining company Xrata, you know, to have someone as
