To ensure this collaboration, you need to have some form of pre-meetings every morning with the team. Everybody gives feedback. There needs to be some sort of formal communication that you can track, such as the reporting. Reporting collaborates any messages that could be unheard from any team members, any team members that maybe could be extroverts or introverts. Between those, you need to know how to identify the team members that would communicate via phone, email, WhatsApp, or via reporting structures. Make sure that nobody feels left out, because if somebody feels left out in the team, we could find that it also affects how fast we could be working together and collaborating together. From communication, if everybody feels heard, everybody feels seen, then from communication-wise, we ensure that collaboration is optimal, is an optimized collaboration. There are certain skill sets that we can use to ensure, such as your report, to ensure that we can collaborate. There was a time where we had team members 3. They were really good. They were not good communicators. They were shy. So we used the reporting. We wrote the reports, and we highlighted the insight pool and the advantages that they brought to the work order, and this improved their communication. And also, it helped them learn from others and others to learn from the introverts in the team to better collaborate. They improved to became leaders. In fact, one of them became a leader within the side projects that we assigned him to.
The challenges faced is working in a team in a complex team of 23. We need to always have our brothers keep us, which are your leaders in the team. Those are the ones that were looking at the job spec, and then we have our overlooker. So we designate the teams, we split teams into groups of four, and we ensure that everyone has a safety book that they will fill in, and then they follow instructions. There should be well-kept instructions before we leave site to go site to the mine. So we need to know that everyone knows what instructions, what needs to be done beforehand. We need to be pre-planning with the large teams before you go to site in any job orders or work orders that need to be done. They need to be completed before going to site and doing your work.
It's always important to follow safety protocols on site. There was a situation where we had to ensure that our safety harnesses are well kept and are clean. There's no debris or oil on our safety harnesses. So we had to ensure that we have the right PPE, the right gloves before going onto site to start looking at the water tanks and installing the system on the water tanks. So I know very well how to ensure we have well-kept safety on the mine.
