Application Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial automation, sensors, and controls solutions, is seeking an Application Engineer to join their technical team in Malvern, PA. This role is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting customers, and applying innovative sensor and control technologies to solve real-world manufacturing challenges.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support for industrial sensor, automation, and control products.Assist customers with product selection, application development, installation, and troubleshooting.Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to sensors, controls, PLCs, and industrial equipment.Support internal sales teams with technical expertise and application recommendations.Conduct product demonstrations, testing, and validation activities.Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer service teams to ensure customer success.Stay current on emerging automation, sensor, and controls technologies.Document technical solutions and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.Qualifications:Required:Minimum of a 2-year technical degree; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field strongly preferred.Hands-on experience with industrial sensors, controls, automation systems, or instrumentation.Experience supporting applications within a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to quickly learn and support new technologies.Preferred:3+ years of technical support, applications engineering, field service, or related experience.Experience with PLC programming, HMI systems, SCADA, automation controls, or machine integration.Machine repair, maintenance, or industrial equipment experience.Customer-facing technical support experience.
