Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance backend services using Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases for reliability and speed.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and other services.
• Participate in microservices architecture design to improve scalability and fault tolerance.
• Deploy and maintain backend systems using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Utilize Git for version control and collaborate effectively within the development team.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers and project managers to meet project goals and deadlines.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages: Java, Python, and Node.js.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database management.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Git version control system.

This role is based in New York City and is not eligible for remote work. You will report directly to the development team lead and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality backend solutions.
