Bilingual Senior Accountant

About the role

Everty is hiring a Senior Accountant in Costa Rica. The role involves general accounting, monthly close activities, reconciliations, fixed assets, tax filings, financial statements, and audit requests. It also supports intercompany accounting, tenant billing, and compliance with PROCOMER and Free Trade Zone requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting activities and support the monthly close.
• Prepare bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
• Prepare tax filings and support regulatory compliance.
• Prepare financial statements, reporting packs, and audit documentation.
• Manage PROCOMER reporting and support Free Trade Zone compliance.
• Oversee tenant billing and monitor lease terms and rent adjustments.

Requirements

• A degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Active membership in good standing with the Colegio de Contadores Privados de Costa Rica.
• A valid digital signature certificate.
• Strong experience in accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency, with English at B2+ to fluent level.
• Experience with PROCOMER, the Free Trade Zone Regime, and transfer pricing is a plus.
