About the role
Pyramid Consulting, Inc is seeking a Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain knowledge to support application maintenance, enhancements, and transformation initiatives. The role works closely with business stakeholders, product owners, underwriting teams, and technology teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, support production issues, and deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, underwriting and operations teams, and technology teams.
- Provide functional expertise across the P&C policy lifecycle, including Quote, New Business, Underwriting, Bind, Issuance, Endorsements, Renewals, and Cancellations.
- Analyze business processes, production issues, defects, and enhancement requests, and perform impact analysis.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to clarify requirements, review test scenarios, and support defect resolution.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business sign-off.
- Support product configuration involving coverages, limits, deductibles, rating, underwriting rules, and forms.
- Support integrations with billing, claims, document management, reporting, and third-party systems.
- Participate in release planning, production validation, and post-production support.
- Coordinate effectively with onsite and offshore teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Business Analyst experience, with strong P&C Insurance domain experience.
- Strong understanding of the P&C policy administration lifecycle and underwriting processes.
- Experience with Policy Administration Systems (PAS).
