Carpenter

Key Responsibilities
• Construct, install, repair, and maintain timber and light steel building structures in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Read, interpret, and work from architectural, structural, and construction drawings with minimal supervision.
• Perform framing, flooring, wall cladding, roofing, ceiling installation, door and window installation, finishing carpentry, and other general building works.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards, project specifications, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to achieve project objectives and meet scheduled milestones.
• Manage workload efficiently and perform under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
• Be flexible and willing to work across multiple project sites and travel to remote locations as required.
• Assist in planning daily work activities and proactively identify and resolve on-site construction issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
• Demonstrate professionalism through reliability, punctuality, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements
• Recognised Trade Certificate in Carpentry from an accredited technical institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in residential or commercial building construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience in light steel framing will be an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, tools, and workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and willing to work at remote project locations.
• Good communication skills and a positive work attitude.
