Job Overview:
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with carriers to secure capacity and ensure the timely and efficient movement of freight. You will play a crucial role in supporting our transportation operations by negotiating rates, coordinating shipments, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
-Finding and adding qualified carriers to your network. -Maintaining daily communication with carriers to build lasting relationships.-Monitor carrier capacity and preferred routes in order to expand business relationships. -Negotiate carrier rates in order to ensure desired margins. -Tracking and tracing shipments to maintain high customer satisfaction. -Match freight requirements with carrier capacity, equipment and preferred lanes. -Reaching out and establishing a relationship with prospective customers. -Finding the best solutions for customers supply chain needs. -Continually growing business relationship with new and current customers.
Required Skills and Experience:
-Bilingual – English & Spanish preferred. -Result Oriented.-Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. -Persuasion and negotiation.-Problem-solving and decision-making.-Polished communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.-Previous motor carrier industry experience preferred.
