Cath Lab Technologist - Full Time in Happy Valley, Oregon Salary: $47.19 – $58.76 per hour Job Summary: Join Odinakachi Nwankpa as a Cath Lab Technologist assisting credentialed providers with diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic cardiac and vascular procedures. Work collaboratively to support patient care and promote the KPNW mission and philosophy. Essential Responsibilities: Serve as scrub assistant or monitor/recorder for cardiology and radiology studies. Prepare and position patients for invasive procedures. Assist with cardiovascular tests and record hemodynamic activity using specialized electronic equipment. Manage arterial and venous access sites post-procedure, including sheath removal and hemostatic device management. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Intra Aortic Balloon Pump as needed. Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and hemodynamic waveforms; alert providers and team members according to protocol. Administer intra-coronary and/or intra-arterial medications under physician supervision. Maintain sterile field using aseptic technique during testing. Operate and maintain hemodynamic and monitoring equipment; start and maintain IVs with proper certification. Use IVUS and Site Rite ultrasound machines proficiently. Perform basic and advanced life support, including defibrillation, when required. Conduct point-of-care tests such as activated clotting time (ACT), oxygen saturations, and arterial blood gases (ABG). Provide patient education on procedures. Respond on-call within 30 minutes on-site as required. Restock supplies, maintain clean work areas, and perform quality assurance and equipment troubleshooting.
