Clinical Psychologist

UWC Costa Rica is seeking a psychology professional to support the socio-emotional development and overall well-being of our diverse student community.
Key responsibilities:• Provide individual psychological support and ongoing follow-up to students.• Identify and respond to students’ social, emotional, and psychological needs.• Design and facilitate preventive initiatives related to well-being and mental health.• Manage emergency situations in coordination with the appropriate teams.• Support new students throughout their transition and adjustment to the College.• Coordinate with Residential Life, the Medical Team, Academic Staff, Learning Support, and families.• Follow up on prescribed medication and external therapy processes.• Facilitate training sessions while maintaining professional ethical and confidentiality standards.
Essential requirements:• Licenciatura degree in Psychology.• Active membership in the Colegio de Profesionales en Psicología de Costa Rica (CPPCR).• More than three years of experience providing psychological care to adolescents.• Experience implementing therapeutic spaces for adolescents.• Training in contextual and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.• Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish (B2+/C1).
Working conditions:• Part-time position: 24 hours per week.• Afternoon schedule starting at 1:00 p.m., distributed across three or five days.• On-site position at the Santa Ana campus, with a future transition to the San Isidro de Heredia campus.
