Beech Valley is building a pipeline of experienced interim Controllers based in the Greater Los Angeles area to support upcoming consulting engagements. These roles will partner with high-growth and enterprise clients on a variety of accounting initiatives, ranging from close optimization to technical accounting and audit support. Engagements will require onsite work in the Los Angeles, CA area. These are 1099 contract opportunities, typically requiring 40hrs/week.
What You’ll DoLead and manage month-end and year-end close processesOversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reportingEnsure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policiesSupport audit readiness and coordinate with external auditorsReview and improve accounting processes and internal controlsPartner cross-functionally with finance and operational teamsProvide hands-on leadership to accounting staff and client stakeholders
What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibilityStrong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reportingExperience managing close processes in complex environmentsPrior consulting or project-based experience preferredAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with major ERP systemsAbility to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA
