About the role
At HCLTech, the DevOps Engineer will design, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure and DevOps operations on AWS using automation, containerization, and orchestration tools. The role works closely with engineering teams to support reliable, secure, and performance-optimized platforms and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure and cloud resources.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for scalable service delivery.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
- Work on containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Administer and configure HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and secure workflows.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce technologies and improve design practices.
- Contribute to infrastructure migration and environment modernization initiatives.
- Support production environments, including on-call responsibilities as required by the team.
- Promote security, monitoring, and reliability best practices across the DevOps ecosystem.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- Deep proficiency with AWS cloud services and operations.
- Strong experience with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Solid knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, and tooling.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker and container lifecycle management.
- Practical experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes-based workloads.
- Experience configuring and managing HashiCorp Vault.
- Ability to self-learn, adapt quickly to new technologies, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and automation issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering teams.
