About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced L2 DevOps Engineer on a 3-month contract to support the Engineering Automations and DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines, supportinginfrastructure-as-code initiatives, and providing operational support for engineering automation platforms. You will work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure delivery of software and tooling across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent) to support software development and release workflows.Manage and monitor cloud and on-premises infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or VMware) using IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.Support containerization and orchestration platforms including Docker and Kubernetes.Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, build, and deployment issues across development, staging, and production environments.Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the SDLC.Assist in writing and maintaining automation scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for operational tasks.Monitor system health, availability, and performance using tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk; respond to alerts and incidents.Maintain and improve configuration management and version control practices.Ensure compliance with Marvell's security standards, including API security, access management, and data classification policies.Document processes, runbooks, and infrastructure configurations to support knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
Required Qualifications3-6 years of hands-on DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience.Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).Solid experience with containerization technologies -- Docker and Kubernetes.Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) -- provisioning, networking, IAM.Understanding of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.Experience with version control systems, primarily Git.Ability to independently triage and resolve production incidents and build failure.
