About the role

Career Compass is listing an opportunity with Idwala Industrial Holdings for a Despatch Operator at its Danjelskuil operation in Northern Cape. The role reports directly to the Shift Supervisor (Rawstone) and involves the sale, packing, loading, dispatching, and handling of customer order documents, while meeting safety, health, environmental, and housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Pack limestone products into bags and load bulk product for dispatch.
• Prepare and load tankers and trucks according to operational requirements.
• Operate plant machinery and mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report defects or abnormalities.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area in line with housekeeping standards.
• Follow Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures.
• Assist with stock control and product verification during loading.
• Complete relevant dispatch and operational documentation accurately.
• Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and training initiatives.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Experience in a production, mining, processing plant, or dispatch environment is advantageous.
• Competence operating mobile equipment, such as a front-end loader, forklift, or similar.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime when required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
