About the role
JBK Argentina is looking for someone to lead an engineering team, owning the technical health of the systems the team maintains and the growth of the people building them. AI-assisted development is a core, non-negotiable part of how the team works.
Responsibilities
- Monitor production systems using existing tools and logs, debug issues with guidance, and escalate when systems behave unexpectedly.
- Partner with AI through context engineering, critically evaluate its output, and continuously improve documentation and collaboration patterns.
- Maintain deep domain expertise across the systems in use, resolve knowledge gaps, and build proficiency in new technologies to troubleshoot them effectively.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and constraints for loosely defined feature outcomes, then create implementation plans within existing system boundaries.
- Develop teammates' skills through hands-on mentorship and share expertise in areas of strength and experience.
- Adopt and facilitate software development lifecycle processes, ensuring the team follows established standards and practices.
- Propose and implement solutions that evolve system architecture, contribute to ADRs, and strengthen the architecture in place.
- Assign and distribute work based on availability, skills, and capacity, ensuring tasks reach the right people.
