A well-established full-service law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of family law experience to join its growing practice in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys guiding clients through challenging family law matters while providing strategic legal counsel and compassionate representation.

The successful candidate will independently manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, adoption, and other domestic relations matters from initial consultation through settlement or trial. Attorneys will regularly appear before state courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania while collaborating with experienced legal professionals in a supportive environment.

About the Role

This opportunity allows experienced family law attorneys to build a sophisticated domestic relations practice while handling diverse matters involving divorce, custody, adoption, and support issues. Attorneys receive substantial responsibility, meaningful courtroom experience, and opportunities to develop lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, adoption, and other family law matters.Independently manage cases from initial consultation through final resolution.Develop comprehensive legal strategies tailored to each client's objectives.Conduct client interviews and evaluate legal claims.Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and other legal documents.Prepare discovery requests, responses, and supporting documentation.Represent clients during mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, and trials.Negotiate favorable settlements while protecting client interests.Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress and legal strategy.Coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts when necessary.Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.Maintain accurate case files and litigation records.Participate in business development, networking, and community outreach initiatives.Deliver compassionate, client-focused legal representation while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Qualifications

3–5 years of family law experience.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active admission to both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar.Strong knowledge of New Jersey Family Law.Willingness to develop proficiency in Pennsylvania Family Law.Experience managing family law matters independently.Excellent legal research and legal writing abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Client-focused approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
