Financial AI Consultant

The Finance AI Consultant will support clients in transforming finance operations through the implementation and optimization of artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and modern finance technologies. This role combines strategic advisory, business transformation, and technology enablement to help organizations modernize finance functions, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and consulting capabilities, hands-on experience with AI-enabled finance solutions, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to evaluate, design, pilot, and implement AI-driven finance transformation solutions.Support finance modernization initiatives, including automation, analytics, forecasting, planning, budgeting, and reporting enhancements.Conduct interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions with client stakeholders to gather business and operational requirements.Analyze financial and operational data to identify inefficiencies, process improvement opportunities, and AI use cases.Assist in developing business cases, implementation roadmaps, and transformation strategies.Support deployment and adoption of predictive and generative AI solutions within finance operations.Translate business requirements into functional specifications, implementation plans, and product backlogs.Collaborate with technical teams, developers, data analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery solutions.Assist in preparing executive presentations, status reports, and client deliverables.Participate in proofs of concept, process automation initiatives, and digital transformation projects.Support project management activities, including timelines, documentation, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications.Ensure compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and data governance practices.Contribute to internal innovation initiatives, business development efforts, and proposal development activities.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field (required).Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or related discipline) is preferred.AI, cloud, analytics, or project management certifications are highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience within a professional services firm or corporate environment.Experience supporting finance transformation, automation, analytics, or AI-related initiatives.Exposure to generative AI technologies, automation platforms, and modern cloud environments is preferred.Experience working with ERP, EPM, reporting, or finance-related systems is highly desirable.Experience supporting client-facing projects, presentations, workshops, and stakeholder management activities.Experience participating in proofs of concept, process improvement initiatives, or digital transformation projects.Project management experience or certification is preferred.
