Role Description The Food Visual Merchandiser is a temporary, hybrid role based in Guayaquil, with a mix of on-site work at Caramel coffee locations and some work-from-home tasks. This role is responsible for designing and implementing visually appealing food and beverage displays that align with brand guidelines and seasonal themes. Day-to-day activities include arranging products and signage, maintaining display cleanliness and freshness, coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure product availability, and monitoring customer responses to visual changes. The Food Visual Merchandiser will also assist in creating basic visual guidelines, documenting display setups, and supporting promotional campaigns through attractive in-store presentation.
Qualifications
Experience in food or retail visual merchandising, including arranging displays and signage in a customer-facing environment.Strong sense of aesthetics and brand presentation, with the ability to translate concepts into clear, attractive visual setups.Organizational and time-management skills to plan, install, and update displays across multiple shifts or locations.Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with store management, kitchen staff, and service teams.Basic digital skills for documenting displays, following visual guidelines, and reporting results (photos, notes, simple templates).Attention to detail and commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and maintaining high standards of product presentation.Flexibility to work a temporary schedule, including potential weekends or peak hours, and to split time between on-site and remote tasks.Previous experience in cafés, restaurants, retail, or hospitality is preferred; training in design, visual arts, or merchandising is an advantage.
