General Worker Warehouse

Business Unit: SUGAR Advert closing date: 11 September 2026 Function: Warehouse Reporting Structure: Warehouse Coordinator Shift Work: Day Shift Location: Malalane KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE • Daily receiving and weighing of salvage sugar, physically opening of damaged packaged sugar bags and decanting of sugar into salvage bags. • Decanting of product into the pit back to the Rawhouse. • Physically sorting of damaged sugar bags into lots/batches. • Sweeping of the warehouse using brooms and removing of cobwebs/dust using feather dusters. • Replacing of plastic sheeting on top of finished stacks. • Cleaning of carcases and weighing of products on regular basis. • Cleaning of roofs and gutters to prevent b aggage and blockage in the pipes. • Maintaining compliance with the company safety rules during the execution of actions, instructions and activities. • Observing deviations and communicating serious breaches of safety, housekeeping and hygiene codes to the immediate superior. KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCE • Grade 12/Matric (Maths and Science will be an added advantage). • Ability to communicate in English. • A valid Forklift and Drivers’ licence will be advantageous. • Relevant experience will be an added advantage. • Must be prepared to work planned and unplanned overtime. • To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen.
