At Atriah, we partner with organizations across a variety of industries to provide practical, business-focused Human Resources solutions. We are seeking a Human Resources Consultant who enjoys building relationships, navigating complex workplace situations, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and business leaders.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary HR consultant for assigned clients.Advise leadership on employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and workplace concerns.Interpret and apply Puerto Rico labor and employment laws.Lead and support HR audits, compliance initiatives, policy development, and HR process improvements.Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.Partner with clients to identify risks, recommend solutions, and implement best practices.Support HR technology initiatives, including ADP Workforce Now implementations, system optimization, and process improvements.Facilitate training and coaching sessions for supervisors and leadership teams.Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic guidance.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.Strong knowledge of Puerto Rico labor and employment laws.Demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required, including implementations and process optimization.Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), both written and verbal.Strong consulting, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and clients simultaneously.High level of professionalism, judgment, discretion, and business acumen.
Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting multi-site operations environments.Previous experience in retail, distribution, logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, or other operationally intensive environments is highly preferred.Experience partnering directly with operations leaders to drive workforce performance, accountability, and compliance.Consulting experience is preferred.SHRM, HRCI, or other HR-related certifications are a plus.
Work LocationThis is a hybrid position based primarily in the San Juan metropolitan area. While much of the work can be performed remotely, candidates must be available to attend client meetings, trainings, investigations, and other business-related activities as needed.This position requires local travel to client locations throughout Puerto Rico, with most client engagements concentrated in the San Juan metropolitan area.
Compensation$30,000 – $37,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented, and comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary. The ideal candidate is equally capable of discussing compliance, coaching leaders, implementing systems, and building trusted client relationships.This position is best suited for an experienced HR professional with 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, a strong foundation in employee relations, labor law compliance, and business partnership. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and navigate complex workplace situations is essential.
