Role Description The IT Security Analyst role at ZM Jobs & Hiring Limited is a part-time, remote position focused on safeguarding information systems and technology assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring networks and systems for security events, analyzing potential threats, and responding to incidents in alignment with security policies and procedures. The role involves assessing vulnerabilities, supporting security audits, and collaborating with technical teams to implement controls that protect data and applications. The IT Security Analyst will also help develop and maintain documentation, contribute to security awareness initiatives, and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization’s security posture.QualificationsCandidates should possess skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including threat analysis, risk assessment, and security best practices.Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, such as monitoring network traffic, managing firewalls, and implementing secure network configurations.Candidates should possess skills in Information Technology, including familiarity with operating systems, cloud environments, and IT infrastructure fundamentals.Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding concepts, vulnerability identification, and protection of web and mobile applications.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a methodical approach to incident investigation.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams remotely.Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar) and prior experience in an IT or security-related role are beneficial.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
