Company: Company Location: Sucre, Chuquisaca Department, Bolivia (Remote Eligible) Job Type: Part-Time About the Role The Legal and Advocacy Advisor will be instrumental in advancing Equality Now’s campaigns focused on sex and gender equality within Bolivia and across the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. This role emphasizes legal reform and advocacy related to sexual violence laws, family law, religious and customary laws, and improving access to justice for victims and survivors of gender-based discrimination and abuse. Key Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice on sex/gender equality laws and policies in Bolivia and the LAC region. Support advocacy campaigns targeting sexual violence legislation, family law reforms, and customary law practices. Collaborate with regional stakeholders to promote legal frameworks that enhance access to justice for gender-based violence survivors. Monitor and analyze legal developments and contribute to strategic litigation and policy initiatives. Prepare reports, briefs, and advocacy materials to support campaign objectives. Qualifications Law degree or equivalent legal qualification with experience in human rights, gender equality, or related fields. Strong understanding of Bolivian and LAC legal systems, especially regarding gender-based laws. Experience in legal advocacy, policy analysis, or related advisory roles. Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish are preferred. Ability to work remotely and collaborate with diverse teams across the region. Why Join Us?
