As a Legal Assistant, you will work closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals, gaining hands-on experience in corporate recordkeeping, contract management, and closing processes. Key Responsibilities Draft, edit, and proofread contracts, correspondence, and transactional documents with precision to ensure legal accuracy and compliance. Manage DocuSign workflows , including signature tracking and preparation of execution packages to streamline closing processes. Prepare and maintain organizational charts, closing binders, and corporate records to support ongoing corporate governance. Coordinate and support corporate closings and post-closing documentation, ensuring timely and accurate filings. Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and third parties to facilitate effective communication and transaction flow. Handle scheduling, time entry, and general administrative duties to support the Business & Corporate Law practice group efficiently. What We're Looking For Required: Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary supporting business or corporate attorneys in transactional matters. Hands-on exposure to corporate filings, mergers, acquisitions, entity formations, and related legal documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, DocuSign, and legal document management systems. Strong understanding of corporate records, organizational charts, and closing procedures. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: Experience working within a corporate law team or similar legal environment. Familiarity with local Ohio corporate law regulations and filing requirements.
