Material Takeoff Specialist

We are seeking a Plumbing & HVAC Material Takeoff Specialist with experience reviewing construction drawings and accurately identifying and quantifying materials required for plumbing and HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of both trades and strong experience interpreting detailed blueprints, specifications, and mechanical plans.
ResponsibilitiesReview plumbing and HVAC drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.Complete accurate material takeoffs for both plumbing and HVAC scopes.Identify and quantify required materials, equipment, fixtures, piping, ductwork, fittings, and related components.Interpret blueprint symbols, notes, legends, and project-specific specifications.Identify non-standard symbols or discrepancies that could impact takeoff accuracy.Use professional takeoff and construction software to review drawings and calculate quantities.Verify takeoffs for completeness and accuracy before submission.Flag unclear drawings, missing information, or potential scope discrepancies.
RequirementsExperience with both Plumbing and HVAC is required.Previous experience with material takeoffs, estimating, and/or hands-on installation.Strong ability to read and interpret plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical blueprints.Experience with industry software such as Bluebeam, BIM tools, Swift, or comparable takeoff/estimating platforms.Strong understanding of plumbing and HVAC materials, components, and systems.Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or non-standard information within drawings.Ability to work independently and accurately manage detailed project information.
