Mental Health Monitor Sitter

The Mental Health Monitor/Sitter provides constant observation of patients who are on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise at risk at this time of patient care. The position involves skilled and vigilant monitoring and documentation, accurately and completely, alongside behavioral changes to licensed staff, and following all instructions from the medical personnel responsible for the unit. The role is critical in maintaining patient safety and supporting mental health care services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide continuous observation of patients on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or otherwise at risk.
• Monitor patients through in-person and assigned video surveillance systems.
• Document and report behavioral and behavioral changes to the medical and support staff.
• Record both patient observations, and incident reports.
• Perform assigned tasks as directed by medical personnel.
• Promote a safe, calm, and therapeutic environment.

REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience monitoring patient screens.
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical, retail, or administrative experience in a medical setting.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
