As a Mental Wellness Coach at Buddy, you will engage in empathetic, non-clinical 1:1 conversations that help users feel heard and understood. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about emotional support, with strong communication skills and a desire to contribute positively to mental wellness without providing therapy or clinical treatment. Key Responsibilities Conduct supportive, non-clinical 1:1 conversations that foster emotional clarity and validation. Validate user emotions with empathy and without judgment to create a safe, trusting environment. Ask reflective questions that encourage self-exploration and insight. Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries in all interactions. Follow Buddy’s safety and escalation protocols to ensure user well-being. Document brief, accurate post-session notes to track user progress and session outcomes. Manage sensitive topics with maturity, emotional intelligence, and discretion. Collaborate with the Buddy team to continuously improve coaching quality and user experience. What We're Looking For Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Native or professional-level spoken English with excellent communication skills. High emotional intelligence and empathy to effectively support diverse users. Quiet, distraction-free remote workspace to ensure privacy and focus. Ability to handle sensitive emotional topics with professionalism and care. Preferred: Experience in coaching, counseling, social work, or related fields (non-clinical). Familiarity with mental wellness concepts and non-clinical support techniques.
