Role Description The Night Manager oversees hotel operations during evening and overnight hours to ensure a safe, smooth, and guest-focused experience at our property in the Dominican Republic. This full-time, on-site role coordinates front office activities, supervises night staff, and ensures adherence to brand standards and operational procedures. The Night Manager responds to guest inquiries and incidents, manages check-ins and check-outs, monitors security and safety protocols, and supports revenue management through accurate room allocation and reporting. The role also involves handling cash and payment processes, preparing nightly reports, collaborating with other departments for the following day’s operations, and maintaining a high level of service quality and team engagement.
Qualifications
Experience in hotel operations or front office management, ideally in an international or upscale hospitality environment.Strong leadership and team supervision skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff during night shifts.Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and guest relations capabilities.Solid organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in reporting and procedures.Comfort with hotel management systems, reservation platforms, and basic office software.Effective verbal and written communication skills; fluency in Spanish and good command of English are highly beneficial.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to remain calm under pressure.Understanding of safety, security, and emergency protocols within a hotel setting.Prior experience in the Dominican Republic or the Caribbean region is an advantage, as well as familiarity with local regulations.Formal education in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if compensated by solid experience.
