About the role
SCA Group is seeking an experienced On-Site Project Manager / Contract Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of an ongoing project in Esmeraldas, Ecuador. The role calls for a hands-on leader who works closely with teams, solves problems, and takes ownership of daily execution. It requires a strong on-site presence, practical leadership, and the ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project execution and overall contract requirements.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for the client and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate personnel, resources, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Plan and coordinate daily activities and operational requirements.
- Monitor quality, schedules, compliance, and overall performance.
- Identify issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure services meet established requirements and standards.
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and support the on-site team, promoting accountability, teamwork, and a results-oriented environment.
- Take a hands-on approach to solving operational challenges and supporting the team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Site Manager, Contract Manager, Operations Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
- Experience managing people, resources, subcontractors, vendors, or multiple services and activities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage changing priorities, and respond to operational needs in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
- Willingness and ability to work fully on-site in Esmeraldas.
- Fluent English, written and spoken. The interview process will be conducted in English, and candidates must be able to participate in interviews in English.
