Ops Material Manager

Eaton’s EPG CPD ICD Industrial Controls Division division is currently seeking a Ops Material Manager.

What You’ll Do

Job Summary:

The Material Operations Manager is responsible for managing the internal materials & scheduling processes required inside an Eaton factory in order to drive the maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through the SIOP process.

This Role Is Responsible For The Following Core Processes

Scheduling production in the short term horizon based on the S&OE processes Maintaining Inventory Accuracy through accurate cycle counting Movement of materials through the facility Internal receipts, storage, distribution and transportation Manage logistics activities for the site

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for managing materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant’s operations by deploying lean material flow.Responsible for the administration of Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards.Responsible for generating short-term production scheduling aligned the plan defined by the NetworkResponsible for monitoring execution of production schedule defined by the Network ( schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan)Responsible for escalation of of material availability to the COE and Network teamsDrive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulted from the SIOP planExecute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team.Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments ( MMA,OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mappingResponsible for maintaining target inventory levels and meeting OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the networkResponsible for plant owned data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production schedulingThis role is a point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall SIOP plan

Qualifications

Education level required:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution

Years And Area Of Experience Required

Minimum five (5) years’ combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environmentMinimum three (3) years of manager of people experience

Technical Knowledge

Experience in supporting cross-functional SIOP and Inventory management processes Technical knowledge of forecasting techniques, bill of material structuring and scheduling execution ERP knowledge - AS400 In-depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams from raw materials to finished product APICS CPIM Certification is desirable
