About the role
Eaton’s EPG CPD ICD Industrial Controls Division is seeking an Ops Material Manager. The role manages internal materials and scheduling processes in an Eaton factory to support adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through the SIOP process.
Responsibilities
- Schedule short-term production based on S&OE processes and the plan defined by the Network.
- Monitor execution of the production schedule, including factory-floor labor scheduling and production-plan execution.
- Manage materials flow and inventory transactions to support plant operations through lean material flow.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, and manage material movement, internal receipts, storage, distribution and transportation.
- Administer indirect and MRO purchasing according to Eaton standards, policies and practices.
- Escalate material availability to the COE and Network teams.
- Drive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulting from the SIOP plan.
- Execute shipment schedules aligned with customer priority dates and the Network and customer service team.
- Champion continuous improvement using internal assessments (MMA, OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mapping.
- Maintain target inventory levels, meet OTD goals for internal and external customers, and meet overall freight targets, including premium freight, aligned with the Network plan.
- Maintain plant-owned data health.
