We're Hiring!We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA with Java Application Support professional to join our team in Mexico. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration along with hands-on experience supporting Java/J2EE applications in production environments.This role involves production support, database administration, application troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high system availability.
Key ResponsibilitiesOracle DBAMonitor and maintain Oracle 19c databases across production and non-production environments.Perform database administration activities including user management, tablespace management, export/import, and database health checks.Execute backup and recovery using RMAN.Monitor and support Oracle Data Guard environments.Troubleshoot database performance issues and implement optimization recommendations.Support database patching, upgrades, and migration activities.Analyze Oracle alert logs, trace files, and performance reports.
Java Application SupportProvide L2 production support for Java/J2EE applications running on WebLogic, Tomcat, or JBoss.Monitor application performance, availability, and resource utilization.Troubleshoot application deployment, startup, and connectivity issues.Diagnose JDBC connectivity issues between Java applications and Oracle databases.Analyze application logs and stack traces to resolve production issues.
Required Skills7–10 years of Oracle DBA experience.Strong experience with Oracle 19c, RMAN, and Oracle Data Guard.Experience supporting Java/J2EE applications.Hands-on experience with WebLogic, Tomcat, or JBoss.Strong SQL and Oracle performance tuning knowledge.Experience with Linux and/or Windows environments.Knowledge of Shell scripting, Python, or SQL scripting.Familiarity with ITIL processes.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.Fluent Spanish communication skills are mandatory.
