Position Summary
The Paraplanner provides technical, analytical, and administrative support to Financial Advisors in the development, implementation, and ongoing management of financial strategies for clients. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing financial information, preparing financial planning recommendations, supporting case design, and ensuring a seamless client experience throughout the planning process.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning SupportGather, organize, and analyze client financial data.Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial plans and recommendations.Create financial analyses, projections, and planning scenarios.Prepare illustrations, proposals, presentations, and client meeting materials.Support advisors with retirement, estate, insurance, investment, and wealth accumulation planning strategies.Conduct research on financial products, insurance solutions, and planning concepts.Client Service & Relationship SupportAssist with onboarding new clients and maintaining client records.Serve as a point of contact for administrative and operational client inquiries.Prepare documentation and forms required for client transactions.Coordinate follow-up items resulting from client meetings.Help ensure an exceptional client experience through timely and professional communication.Operations & Case ManagementMonitor and track business submissions through underwriting and processing.Coordinate requirements with clients, carriers, and internal teams.Maintain accurate records in CRM and case management systems.Ensure all files are complete and compliant with company and regulatory requirements.Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Maintain strict confidentiality of client information.Assist with audits, file reviews, and documentation requirements.Support risk management and compliance initiatives as needed.QualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred.Financial Planning coursework or certification is a plus.Experience1 to 3 years of experience in financial services, insurance, wealth management, banking, or a related field.Experience supporting Financial Advisors, Wealth Advisors, or Insurance Professionals is preferred.Preferred QualificationsFinancial Planning Certificate Program completed or in progress.CFP, FPQP or ChFC (preffered)FINRA registrations, insurance licenses, or industry designations are a plus.Experience with financial planning and wealth management software.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
