People Operations & Recruiting Intern About Emergent Emergent is an innovative early-stage AI startup based in San Francisco, building AI infrastructure to help developers create reliable AI products. As a People Operations & Recruiting Intern, you will work closely with the founders and gain hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, operations, events, and employee engagement within an AI-focused company. Full-time • In-person • Hourly • Non-Exempt What You'll Do Hiring & Recruiting Support the recruiting pipeline by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and maintaining communication with candidates throughout the hiring process. Manage the applicant tracking system to ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience from application to offer. Coordinate interview schedules and follow up with candidates and hiring managers promptly. Assist with onboarding new hires by preparing equipment, setting up accounts, creating welcome materials, and organizing first-week logistics. Events & Community Help plan and attend hackathons, tech meetups, recruiting events, and industry conferences. Coordinate team events, offsites, and internal culture-building initiatives. Represent Emergent at university and community recruiting events as needed. Office Operations Maintain organized office systems and shared spaces, including conference rooms, kitchen equipment, office boards, and common areas to ensure a clean, functional workplace. Compensation Pay rate: $22 per hour Location This is an in-person internship based in our San Francisco, California office. Remote work is not eligible for this position.
