Company is hiring a dedicated and vigilant Permanent Security Officer in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients and staff. As a Permanent Security Officer, you will be a key part of our security operations, protecting property and personnel while fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure security and safety compliance. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV and respond promptly to incidents or alarms. Manage access control, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the facility. Prepare and maintain accurate reports of daily activities and incidents. Assist in emergency evacuations and conduct safety drills. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on security protocols. Required and Preferred Qualifications Minimum education: Grade 12. At least 2 years of experience in security or a related field. Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV and alarm systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with the public. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Preferred: Security-related certifications such as PSIRA registration. This position is part of a dynamic security team that values reliability and adherence to standards. You will report to the Security Manager and collaborate closely with HR, facilities management, and external security auditors to ensure optimal safety measures.
