Procurement Specialist

On behalf of Huawei, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented ProcurementSpecialist to join our team in Panama. In this role, you will be a key player in optimizingour supply chain, ensuring that procurement processes are efficient, transparent, andaligned with our global business strategies.
Key Responsibilities• Receive and analyze procurement requirements from business units. Conductthorough feasibility studies (rationality, legality, and market availability) to defineand execute the best selection strategies.• Lead the end-to-end supplier qualification process, including minimumrequirement audits, on-site inspections, contract signing, and formal certificationwithin our internal platforms.• Collaborate with finance and technical departments to conduct periodic supplierevaluations. You will be responsible for communicating results, definingimprovement plans, and ensuring their successful implementation.• Act as the primary bridge between Huawei and its partners, fostering high-levelinteractions and strengthening long-term strategic alliances.• Guide internal departments on procurement best practices, ensuring alloperations strictly follow corporate standards and compliance policies.• Conduct regular integrity and "clean procurement" training sessions for suppliersto ensure a transparent business environment.• Manage departmental platforms for supplier database maintenance, internalcontrol indicators, and audit follow-ups.
RequirementsTechnical Knowledge:• Solid understanding of Procurement & Supply Chain principles.• Proficiency in Project Management methodologies.• Fundamental knowledge of Finance and Cost Analysis.Skills & Competencies:• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex businessenvironments.• Strong market insight to identify potential risks and proactively implementmitigation plans.• Ability to identify business bottlenecks and provide data-driven solutions.• High ethical standards and commitment to corporate compliance.
Language Requirements:• Spanish: Native or Bilingual.• English: Full professional proficiency.• Mandarin Chinese: Highly valued (considered a significant plus).
