Regulatory Lead

About the role

PriceSmart is seeking a Regulatory Lead / Non Foods to partner with the Buying team and ensure regulatory requirements and Certificates of Conformity are obtained and maintained for non-food products sold in PriceSmart’s marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regulatory reviews, certifications, testing, and renewals for non-food products.
• Review vendor documentation and follow up on missing requirements.
• Advise Buyers and vendors on certification and testing requirements.
• Coordinate with laboratories, certification bodies, vendors, and internal teams.
• Track certification status and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, International Business, or related fields preferred.
• 4–5 years of experience in International Trade.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Trade Compliance.
• Experience with Certificates of Conformity; RETIE/RETILAP experience is a plus.
• Fluent English and Spanish required.
• Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AS400 experience is a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Enjoy collaborating with different teams, solving problems, and adapting to changing regulatory requirements.
