Sappi North America is hiring a detail-oriented and organized Remote Bookkeeper to join our financial team based in Boston, Massachusetts. This full-time position offers remote work flexibility and plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records that support key business decisions and company growth. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Reconcile bank statements and promptly resolve discrepancies. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting to support planning. Process payroll ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and project support. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial policies. Required and Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent. Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. 2-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles. Bookkeeping certification preferred. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. This vital role reports directly to the Finance Manager and offers collaboration opportunities with Operations and HR teams.
