About the role
HCLTech is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments. The role focuses on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), cloud automation, and modern deployment best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions that support mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud environments on AWS and/or Azure.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows.
- Build and maintain cloud-native solutions using Python for scripting and automation.
- Implement best practices for cloud security, networking, governance, and cost optimization.
- Troubleshoot cloud performance, reliability, and infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and engineering teams to deliver scalable cloud platforms.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence across cloud workloads.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and propose improvements to architecture and tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure architecture and services.
- Proficiency in Terraform for multi-cloud IaC development.
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation templates and stacks.
- Strong scripting skills using Python.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, VPC design, load balancing, and identity/access management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and cloud operations tools.
- Preferred: experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes); certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure...
