We're looking for a Senior Developer Advocate based in San Francisco, California, to lead our developer relations efforts across the United States. This remote-only role offers a unique opportunity to shape and scale a world-class DevRel program, engage with global and local developer communities, and drive ImageKit’s technical storytelling at premier conferences and meetups. Key Responsibilities Lead speaking engagements at top-tier global conferences and US-based developer meetups, delivering compelling technical presentations on ImageKit’s platform, media optimization, and web performance technologies. Identify and submit high-impact talk proposals that resonate with diverse developer audiences, ensuring consistent brand visibility and thought leadership. Create and publish in-depth technical content including blog posts, tutorials, and demo applications showcasing best practices and SDK integrations (React, Angular, Vue, video streaming). Develop and manage a scalable Developer Relations program, setting strategic goals, KPIs, and community engagement metrics to measure success. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams to align developer outreach with product roadmaps and customer needs. Build and nurture relationships with developer communities, influencers, and partners to amplify ImageKit’s presence and adoption. Analyze developer feedback and market trends to continuously refine messaging, content, and event strategies. Mentor junior advocates and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the DevRel team. What We're Looking For Required: 5+ years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, or related technical evangelism roles. Proven track record of delivering engaging talks at major developer conferences and local meetups, particularly within the US tech ecosystem. Strong technical expertise in web technologies, media optimization, and API integrations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts. Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience building and scaling DevRel programs, including setting KPIs and measuring community impact. Preferred: Familiarity with ImageKit or similar media optimization platforms. Experience with AI-powered digital asset management solutions. Background in software development with hands-on coding skills in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue). Passion for community building and mentoring junior developers. Ability to travel occasionally for events and conferences.
