Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps EngineerRequired Experience: 5+ years We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in AWS/Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and infrastructure automation. You will play a key role in architecting secure, highly available, and resilient cloud environments while driving automation, operational excellence, and continuous delivery across development teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, architect, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Build, enhance, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools to enable rapid, reliable, and automated software delivery.Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster administration, scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring infrastructure consistency, version control, and automated provisioning.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployment processes, and operational workflows using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, improve system reliability, and ensure high availability.Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex production incidents across cloud infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD environments.Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, resource utilization, and cloud costs while maintaining security and compliance best practices.Collaborate closely with software engineering, QA, security, and product teams to streamline release management and improve deployment efficiency.Implement security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and compliance standards.Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools, cloud services, and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency and platform reliability.Create and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, deployment processes, operational runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.Mentor junior DevOps engineers and contribute to establishing DevOps standards, best practices, and technical governance across engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).Strong expertise in AWS/Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Hands-on experience with:AWS: EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, ELB/ALB, Route 53, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail.GCP: GKE, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Storage, Cloud DNS.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm for deploying and managing containerized applications.Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation.Experience implementing GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux.Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild, or similar tools.Experience providing platform-level support for Java-based microservices running on Kubernetes.Proficiency in Linux administration, Bash/Python scripting, and automation.Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or similar monitoring and logging platforms.Good understanding of cloud networking, security, DNS, load balancers, SSL/TLS, and Git version control.Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization, incident management, and production support skills.
