Position SummaryWe are seeking experienced Progress OpenEdge Developers to join our Build Team in Mexico. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications built on the Progress OpenEdge platform.This role requires strong technical expertise in Progress OpenEdge 10.2B, Progress ABL/4GL development, and the ability to work effectively with legacy systems while supporting modernization initiatives.The ideal candidate will have experience working with MFG/PRO or QAD ERP applications, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, and be comfortable collaborating with global teams in both English- and Spanish-speaking environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Progress OpenEdge 10.2B.Develop and support solutions using Progress ABL/4GL.Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and functional solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve:Progress runtime errors.Compile errors.Database connectivity issues.Application performance and functionality problems.Review, understand, and modify complex legacy code while ensuring application stability.Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, and stakeholders to deliver application enhancements and production fixes.Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment activities, and release management processes.Follow established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and development best practices.Utilize source/version control tools to manage code changes effectively.Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to application modernization efforts.
