We're looking for a Senior Structural / Civil Engineer to join us on a W2 Contract basis with competitive pay of $60 per hour. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive structural analysis and design of buildings and infrastructure using advanced engineering principles and software. Prepare and review detailed design calculations, technical drawings, and specifications ensuring strict compliance with New York City building codes and industry regulations. Lead design presentations and technical discussions with clients, architects, and stakeholders to clearly define project scopes and objectives. Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery. Oversee project progress, providing expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Participate in project planning and feasibility studies, evaluating material options and construction methodologies for optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Maintain accurate engineering documentation and records, ensuring all practices meet regulatory and safety standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design quality and project outcomes. What We're Looking For Required: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis within the civil engineering sector. Proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000. Strong knowledge of New York City building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Experience with concrete and steel structural design principles. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams. Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED standards.
