vysystems is seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer for a contract role based in New York City, New York . This position is key to delivering high-quality data solutions and advancing our data management strategy in a collaborative, innovative environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake database applications and ETL pipelines. Create and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and processing. Implement and manage data integration processes using SSIS or similar ETL tools. Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Snowflake architectures and workflows. Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, data models, and workflows. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practices. Required and Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, and SSIS. Minimum 3 years of experience in data development or data engineering roles. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud environments. Industry certifications related to data management or Snowflake are preferred. The successful candidate will work closely with the Data Engineering Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, business intelligence professionals, and IT support to drive data initiatives forward.
