Space Planner

About the role

Relay Human Cloud is hiring a Space Planner to support internal construction projects. The role includes creating designs, test-fits, construction drawings, finish packages, and 3D renderings. It offers a career path to higher-level activities.

Responsibilities

• Confirm plan accuracy and obtain current information to update software.
• Perform space planning and standardized specification projects.
• Produce construction documents for pricing and permitting in accordance with building, energy, and accessibility codes, using Visio and AutoCAD.
• Develop and document designs, details, schedules, and specifications.
• Assist senior staff with selecting finishes, furniture, and artwork for a broad range of projects.
• Maintain databases, project files, spreadsheets, and related documentation for new construction, renovations, remodels, and expansions.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Use CAD and other industry-specific software and collaborate with on-site team members to align designs and plans with stakeholder requirements.
• Key systems include AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, and Revit.
• Inputs include client requirements and preferences, building and space measurements, furniture and equipment inventory, budget constraints, and building codes and regulations.
• Production skills, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to develop 3D renderings are part of the role.
