Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Spanish Medical Interpreter with no prior experience required. The Spanish Medical Interpreter will provide real-time interpretation between Spanish and English for medical appointments, consultations, and related healthcare interactions, ensuring clear and accurate communication between patients and medical professionals. Daily tasks include listening carefully to spoken information, conveying messages accurately and neutrally, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations. The interpreter will follow company protocols, use internal systems and tools for scheduling and documentation, and may participate in online training through the proprietary web-based training center. This role requires consistent availability, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare settings.
Qualifications
Ability to perform Medical Interpretation and Interpreting between Spanish and English in healthcare settings.Familiarity with Medical Terminology or willingness to learn and use appropriate medical vocabulary.Skills in Translation and Simultaneous Interpretation for spoken communication when needed.Strong Spanish and English language proficiency, both spoken and written.Ethical conduct, respect for confidentiality, and commitment to patient-centered communication.Comfort with using computers and cloud-based platforms for scheduling, documentation, and training.Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote work environment.High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in languages, healthcare, or interpretation is a plus.Willingness to complete company-provided training and follow established interpreting standards and guidelines.
