Join our Settlement Operations team as a Senior Associate and play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of settlement and reconciliation activities. We are seeking an experienced professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can drive operational excellence, resolve complex transaction issues, and support exceptional service delivery for customers and business partners.
Role Responsibilities
As a Specialist Product Operations, you will be responsible for performing complex settlement activities independently while resolving operational exceptions, conducting investigations, and providing recommendations to improve process effectiveness. Serves as an experienced operational resource within the team.
Key responsibilities include:Execute and validate settlement, refunds, cash application, funding, and reconciliation activities accurately and within established service level agreements.Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex settlement exceptions, billing discrepancies, and transactional variances affecting customers and partners.Perform daily reconciliation of remittance and billing transactions to ensure financial integrity and accurate account balances.Conduct detailed research and root cause analysis on operational issues, identifying trends and recommending corrective and preventive actions.Support customers, partners, and internal stakeholders by investigating inquiries and providing timely and effective issue resolution.Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready supporting documentation for all transactions in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, controls, efficiency, and customer experience.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve exceptions, support business initiatives, and implement process enhancements.Assist in training, coaching, and sharing knowledge with team members on settlement processes, procedures, and best practices.Ensure compliance with internal controls, risk management requirements, regulatory standards, and operational procedures.Act as a subject matter expert for settlement-related activities and support escalation management when required.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and operational excellence programs.
Basic qualifications:2+ years of experience in financial operations, settlements, reconciliations, accounts receivable, cash applications, refunds, billing, or related functions.Strong understanding of financial transaction processing, reconciliation methodologies, and exception management practices.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex operational issues.Experience working with financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functionality.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a high-volume transaction environment.Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and service level expectations.
Preferred qualifications:Experience supporting money transfer, payments, banking, fintech, or financial services operations.Knowledge of settlement controls, sub-ledger reconciliations, financial risk management, and audit requirements.Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to reduce operational defects.Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvement opportunities through automation or standardization initiatives.Experience handling escalated customer or partner issues requiring detailed investigation and resolution.Familiarity with operational excellence methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.Ability to serve as a functional resource and provide guidance to less experienced team members.Experience working in a global, matrixed, or shared services environment.
