About the role
Quasar Medical | Medical Device Manufacturer is developing in-house Nitinol capabilities at QMX, subject to approval. The role supports Nitinol development, NPI, qualification, and future mass production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Quasar during the NPD stage for Nitinol development.
- Work with the site leader, engineering manager, and function head to establish a technical team for Nitinol capabilities, including training at one Quasar facility during NPD, NPI at QMX, and future mass production sustaining.
- Support interviewing and selecting appropriate team members, and travel with the team to one Quasar facility for Nitinol development and technical training.
- Develop and train the QMX team to build Nitinol technical knowledge and independent troubleshooting capability.
- Work with the PMO team to develop a project plan and complete qualification within the agreed timeline.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers during project qualification.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Work with assembly-level line engineering to solve technical issues driven by Nitinol components.
- Ensure NPI project execution complies with QMS requirements and customer expectations.
- Establish a regular maintenance system to support robust mass production.
- Support other NPI projects as an NPI Engineer when bandwidth allows, following the NPI execution principles defined for the Nitinol project.
- Complete other tasks assigned by the site leader.
