Sr. QA Engineer Power BI Microsoft Fabric

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer specialized in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of data-driven solutions. You will work across data pipelines, Lakehouse, semantic models, and Power BI reports in an end-to-end QA environment.This is a remote, full-time opportunity open to candidates across Latin America.Responsibilities • Develop and execute QA strategies for data workflows, pipelines, semantic models, and Power BI reports. • Validate data accuracy from source to dashboard using advanced SQL and data reconciliation techniques. • Test Power BI semantic models, relationships, measures, DAX calculations, and report functionality. • Validate Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and data pipelines, including data migrations and environment consistency. • Create test cases based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Identify, document, and track defects with clear evidence, severity, and reproduction steps. • Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with Data Engineers and Developers to resolve data quality issues. • Ensure reliable, consistent, and high-quality reporting throughout the end-to-end data lifecycle.Requirements • 5+ years of QA experience, preferably testing data-intensive applications, BI, or reporting solutions. • Strong hands-on experience testing Power BI reports and semantic models. • Advanced SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and source-to-report testing. • Experience with DAX, data modeling, relationships, and Power BI measures. • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and data pipelines. • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, defect lifecycle, and root cause analysis. • Experience with data migrations, ETL/data pipeline validation, and environment consistency. • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test/defect management tools. • Advanced English, both written and verbal. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Nice to have: • Experience with Playwright or Selenium. • Experience automating data integration or pipeline testing. • Experience with Azure data security, governance, or migrations. • Experience using AI-assisted testing or coding tools.
