About the role

Construction Specialties is a specialty building products manufacturer founded in 1948. The company provides solutions to building challenges faced by architects, designers, building owners, facility managers, and contractors. This role plans, conducts, and reviews structural design analysis for exterior products.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and review structural design analysis for exterior products.
• Read and coordinate between different drawings, applying structural engineering concepts, practices, and procedures to accomplish goals.
• Coordinate product shop drawings, manufacturing, installation, support, and documentation to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and design requirements.
• Generate AutoCAD details based on conceptual sketches or develop custom designs to meet customer needs.
• Assume additional related responsibilities and duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Proficiency with structural design analysis programs such as RISA-3D, SAP2000, and STAAD.
• High knowledge of US building codes and design manuals.
• High experience with the latest AutoCAD and Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and adapt to task changes with short notice.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
