About the Role
The System Analyst supports system functionality, analyzes complex business and technical scenarios, and helps ensure accurate processing of People, time, absence, benefits, and pay related data.
Responsibilities
Technical Support & System Analysis 1. Analyze and troubleshoot Workday system issues related to Absence, Benefits, Time Tracking, and related processes. 2. Investigate system behavior related to eligibility, accruals, pay rules, business processes, integrations, and data outputs. 3. Serve as the technical escalation point for issues that cannot be resolved through standard operational support. 4. Partner with IT, People Organization, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to resolve defects, system limitations, and performance issues.
Data Integrity & Validation1. Perform detailed analysis of Workday data to ensure accuracy across worker records, time entries, absence balances, benefit elections, and calculated results.2. Validate data flows between Workday and payroll or other downstream systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies.3. Utilize reporting tools to audit large data sets and detect anomalies or trends. 4. Support payroll and operational cycles by helping ensure system outputs align with expected business outcomes.
Integrations & System Interfaces 1. Monitor and support integrations between Workday, payroll, benefits providers, timekeeping, scheduling, and other downstream systems.2. Troubleshoot interface errors, failed integrations, and data mismatches. 3. Partner with integration teams to validate inbound and outbound data flows. 4. Assist in testing integration changes and enhancements.
Testing & Release Support1. Develop and execute test scenarios for system updates, patches, and enhancements impacting People processes. 2. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing for releases.3. Document test results and ensure issues are properly tracked and resolved. 4. Validate system behavior post-release to ensure stability and accuracy.
Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement 1. Conduct root cause analysis on recurring or high-impact issues. 2. Identify opportunities to improve system performance, data accuracy, and user experience. 3. Partner with the People IT (PIT) team to recommend system or process enhancements. 4. Document known issues, workarounds, and long-term solutions.
Technical Documentation & Knowledge Management 1. Maintain detailed documentation of system behavior, data flows, and issue resolution processes. 2. Create technical job aids for internal teams to support troubleshooting and analysis. 3. Ensure knowledge continuity across People IT support functions and cross-functional teams.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement 1. Work closely with Finance and Accounting, People Organization, Operations, and IT teams to resolve system-related issues. 2. Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. 3. Support training and enablement efforts related to system functionality and best practices.4. Collaborate with broader PIT teams on cross-functional dependencies and impacts Qualifications
Education details· Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, Human Resources Technology, or related discipline.
Experience·Minimum of 3–5 years of experience supporting HRIS, Workday, Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, Benefits, Absence, or related People systems. · Experience troubleshooting system issues, data discrepancies, and integrations.· Exposure to payroll processes, time calculation logic, absence rules, benefits administration, or country-specific compliance requirements preferred Required Skills
Strong understanding of Workday or similar HRIS/Workforce Management systems Experience with data analysis, reporting, and large data set validation (Excel, Power BI, or similar). Familiarity with integrations, APIs, or file-based data exchanges (EIBs, interfaces, etc.). Understanding of configuration concepts, business processes, eligibility rules, accruals, schedules, and calculated outcomes.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with Workday.Ability to evaluate system behavior and configurationAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
