Translation Project Coordinator

About the role

At TransPerfect, the Project Coordinator manages and coordinates the completion of language projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the life cycle of multiple localization projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate project phases and predict the lifespan of each stage.
• Liaise with sales staff to clarify project parameters.
• Negotiate deadlines and rates with vendors.
• Establish and maintain relationships with contract translators and proofreaders globally.
• Monitor project status and manage project finances, including budgeting.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, and comply with relevant procedures.
• Perform quality checks at various stages to ensure quality and accuracy, including proofreading and final review.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; other languages are an asset.
• University degree, preferably in linguistic or translation-related studies.
• Minimum one year of professional experience in a similar position in a corporate environment.
• Detail orientation and ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Independence in carrying out assigned tasks and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly developed computer skills, including MS Office and Windows.
• Experience in translation and localization project management is a strong advantage.
